Hand embroidery fix

Okay ladies have you ever decided to use hand embroidery in a quilt? I have and oops transfer moved and now I have blurry picture. Solution, Spray heavily with hair spray and let it sit. Waloa! The transfer will now wash out with a small amount of dish soap. That is the only reason I have hair spray.

I will have to try that because I have a block that the transfer is blurry and I need to remove the transfer. Thanks for the info.

I've used it in quilts before, but i've done the embroidery first, then cut it down to the quilt block size or stitched areound the applique first.

Interesting. We used to use hair spray to get pen ink out of clothes. I'll have to give this a try.
