Anyone that purchased the blades, waiting for back order, did you receive an email from them stating that they received your order and you can track and what not.
You have to create an account to do that. I created one and it does not show anything ordered by me.
Did anyone else start an account? Did you try to track it? Does it show or does it show only when they are ready to ship it?

virtualbernie 08-12-2010 03:19 PM

I just checked and mine shows "processing".

lovequilts 08-12-2010 04:45 PM

What is everybody ordering from Harbor Freight?

Sadiemae 08-12-2010 04:57 PM

Carpet cutter blades that will fit most 45 mm rotary cutters.

Theresa 08-12-2010 04:58 PM

Well, I'll be. Gotta check this out!!!

Moonpi 08-12-2010 05:05 PM

I went to our local store today and hey didn't have any. Somehow, I picked up $50 worth of stuff that looked interesting or useful. Very dangerous little store.

Joeysnana 08-12-2010 05:07 PM

I just checked their website. The size is for 1 3/4" blade. Isn't that too small for a 45mm cutter?

Candace 08-12-2010 05:09 PM

The Sacramento Fruitridge store was out too. But, I bought the actual carpet cutter, which comes with 3 blades. I think it will work for cutting batting:>

Omg, I have created a bunch of monsters. This is like the 3 rd thread about it in 2 days.

I started this fad about Harbor Freight's carpets cutting blades..........LOL

That's cool, I get blamed for everything else. Just ask my older brother, he blamed me for catching our Dad's car on fire and I wasn't even allowed to drive it without Dad in it. (learner's permit)

I've missed out on this discussion for awhile. Did anyone ever comment if these blades are ok to use on quilt cutting mats?

nursie76 08-13-2010 05:26 AM

My DH found me one of those handles for my rulers at HF. Was about $6. Course this is after he bought one from a quilt place for $15! Oh well, now I don't have to change it out for different rulers.

sewmuchmore 08-13-2010 05:28 AM

As one of these bunch of monsters :XD: I want to thank you.
In this day and time we all are trying to save as much as possible to by more fabric.

lots2do 08-13-2010 05:29 AM

nursie-
What was the handle called at Harbor Freight? I looked and looked before but couldn't find anything like it.
Thanks,
lots2do

Here they are, sometimes when they are on sale there is a smaller one for 99 cents. Just got to love this store.

hope this helps

I just ordered the blades from Harbor Freight. Now I read that they are not as sharp as our "competitors". I hope not.

AnnaK 08-19-2010 08:18 PM

The other things that I found at our local HF was the little magnetic parts dish. I like to sit in the TV room and hand sew and this keeps my scissors, needles and anything else dangerous, right in the dish. I can't tell you how many needles I've'lost' on the couch...but my husband can. OUCH! Also, I found a telescoping mirror that is really small, about 2" diameter. I thought this would be very handy for threading the 'loop' on my serger. Haven't tried it yet but it moves in all directions and is just the right size. Now, you ladies, don't all go at the same time and bombard HF!!

nursie76 08-19-2010 08:18 PM

Just put one in my Fiskars rotary cutter last night and it works great!

EagarBeez 08-20-2010 07:26 AM

False alarm
On the website, it says my order shipped, I got a card in the mail telling me my order was backlogged. Contacted them and they said the same. The item I purchased is on back order. Guess I am with the rest of you in waiting.

june6995 09-16-2010 07:48 AM

My visit to Harbor Freight was very informative.

I told the cashier I was checking on the blades. She said she would check to see if they had any in the stock room.

She followed that with telling me the computer stated the Warehouse is out of blades. They are ALL GONE!!!
Blame the Quilters.

She gave me a rain check and said it would be 4 or 5 weeks and asked how many packages I wanted. I asked for 10. I will parcel them out according to who wants them and how many. Should I have reserved more? Who wants and needs blades???

June in Cincinnati

EagarBeez 09-16-2010 04:22 PM

I just got a card from them, saying they were still on backorder and wanting to know if I still wanted them. If not I was to send the card back. I did not. I will wait on backorder, since I do have some blades to work with, I appricate your offer to get a rain check for the rest of us who need them. If I don't receive any blades by Oct, Nov, then I may ask if you could get a rain check or have some sent to me, since I do not live near any harbor freight.
Thank you again

Joeysnana 09-16-2010 04:46 PM

I also got a postcard in the mail telling me to send the card back if I wanted to cancel the order. I can be very patient for such a good deal as this!
