WOW ! There are many brands of bras. I was fitted in 1970. Loved the bra and did sell them for about 2-3 years.
Stopped as it was expensive to run the business. You need most of the sizes to be able to fit people correctly. BUT
they are comfortable. Brand name was Figurette, and believe it is now Cameo. Business is run like parties! These bras are like a nursing bra. And yes you can get a small band size with a large cup size or a large band size with small cup. I have used these since 1970 and will continue to do so. Not certain what the price is now but they are not cheap. Hand wash or wash on gentle and never dry in dryer.
Did you know that a tan or natural color will not show like a white one under light colored clothing? If you cannot find a tan one in the brand you like you can dye your bras. Tea gives a very nice shade.
The last address I have is Cameo Couitures, Inc, 9004 Ambassador Row, Dallas, TX 75247.
I can go online and see if they are still there.

I went to Cameo bras and from there went to
The custom fitted bra optimal nutrition for optiomal health
and
Fitting Tips and bra sizes for Lady Cameo Bra Prices.

In these ads the Ahh bra was mentioned also.

You gals are so good at researching I am certain if you want you can find what you want from this. Hope this helps you find a comfortable bra !

I buy Target bras for 7.99 each. Most comfortable, very light padding and don't feel the wire underneath. They're like what Pink bras used to be. And I'm cheap! ha! Or you could do a google search and do something like this...

The sides have never cut into me and the straps are little bit wider than most others. Softest fabric I've ever seen in a bra.

I'm gonna have to try that one. I've gotten so that I just can't wear a bra for more than a couple of hours without being miserable. And I've got so many brands in my undies drawer that it looks like a department store. I simply HAVE to wear an underwire, there's no getting around it, and I think that's the main problem. But the other thing is that if I hike the straps up, my shoulders hurt, and if I loosen the straps ... well we all know how we look that way. I never wear a bra around the house anymore, that is, if I'm alone.

Did you know that it is not good for your health to wear and underwire bra? This is one of the reasons that gals should be fitted but please go to someone who knows what they are doing in the fitting.

A few years back, I read that Jane Russell also had this problem, and that her love interest, at that time, was Howard Hughes, the famous engineer. He actually Engineered her a bra!!! She said that from then on, it was the only bra she would wear, and commissioned to have them made from his patterns. Quote/ DianeD

I've read that too. In the same article I read that he designed the bra that she wore in the movie "Outlaw." The famous picture of her spilling out over her lowcut top shows her with the bra on, under the top. If we could all look like that we probably wouldn't mind the pain of it all!

:-D

I told you that I made my bras. Here's a pic of the one I made today. The packages are kits for the ones I hope to get done this week end. I only make them every couple of years so the first one takes longer until I get back in the bra "grove".

I hate wearing a bra. Wore a wire bra to board a plane AND SET the metal detector off, how embarrassing. Never thought of it at the time. DONT LIKE MOLDED BRAS, NEVER FIT RIGHT.
