I took a class many years ago. It is fun but also an expensive hobby

Only if I can do it underwater! (sorry, couldn't resist) :)

That was another one of my addictions. I have plastic tubs full of supplies and books. At Christmas time I usually make a couple for gifts. I ordered my supplies from Royalwood in Mansfield OH. If you order $50. worth of supplies. which isn't hard to do, you can get wholesale prices.

Go for it!
I have taken traditional basket weaving classes and used those skills to make lots of stuff. Also, and this is better in my opinion, to repair wicker furniture. I have salvaged numerous items that were bound for the trash, repaired, used, gifted, sold and thorougly enjoyed!
Basket weaving can be expensive or not depending on how creative you are in seeing non traditional supplies lying around. Fabric baskets are super and a great way to use up bit and pieces.
Enjoy enjoy!!
