Excellent advice...my former husband is a thyroid cancer survivor. Our sons definitely have been made aware they need to get regular checks and watch carefully for symptoms.

I was diagnosed 13yrs ago and my Dr. feels that I had the disorder (hypothyroidism-low thyroid) for probably some 7yrs before diagnosis.
Thyroid disorders are more prevalent in women, but men also can have this disorder. I hope everyone here asks their Dr. on their next visit to do a thyroid blood panel.

My DR just checked mine( New Dr.) I have hypothroidism I was a 2.8 should be a 5., Now I'm on meds for it I sure hope it works.
