HELP!! PLEASE!! Cinderella transformation Dress needed..

My daughter, asked if I would make a Cinderella Transformation Dress for my grandaughters play ...in the spring!! Thank goodness! Had to find out what it was first, but have NO idea where to start. Can anyone help me??
My daughter bought a 'beautiful gown' for the dress, now how do I put the 'raggy' dress on top, so my 8yr old granddaughter can get it off in a second & have it 'dissappear?! to reveal the beautiful gown??
If you do not know, but have dressmaker friends, would you please ask them for me?? THANKS!!!

I don't know how technical you want to get. I would do a skirt in something like a grey sheet with elastic around the waist and an apron sewn along the waist. I would then look for a grey boy's or men's shirt that you don't mind cutting a raggy edge on. The shirt can go over the top of the dress and she could slip the skirt off and on by the elastic.
