Hi ladies,

Ok I know this is may be a stretch, but since we are all so creative I thought I'd try. I have a plastic bottle (POM juice) and I want to remove the print on it. You know the name, the upc etc. Any ideas? I was thinking nail polish remover? Don't have any right now (actually have to find any my daughters may have left behind when they went back to school) or I would've tried it by now. Also any ideas on glue? I was just going to use tacky or fabric glue. I'm doing decoupage on it. I just remember that (The absolute worst day as a Girl scout leader) doing a bird feeder in my daughter's Brownie troop, the co-leader had left supplies and instructions. This was to be made from empty plastic milk gallons. We were to glue spanish moss to the jugs, (jars, bottles?) (why do I love Parenthesies so much? LOL) and some drawing also. Well the glue would not hold and the markers were no use. It was the biggest most awful mess I have ever seen, clean-up was impossible. This was worse than glitter!!

Have you tried running it through the dish washer?

I would but he's not home right now, LOL! I don't have a dishwasher:( I used to have one, 5'11, black hair, brown eyes, 175, *Hee Hee*. Unfortunately he works too many hours now so I have to do them.

Try Goo Gone...You can pick it up at Joann's, hardware store, etc.

I will see if I can get some, any tips for the glue?

if it is the print on the bottle you are trying to remove, I did it with steel wool. I like reusing bottles and bowls for crafts, but don't like reading the original print. So most come off with steel wool. good luck. if it is a glued on label, i have used hand sanitizer with some success.

I am the luckiest duck there is, my boyfriend of 6 years is the house cleaner. He does just about everything!! I don't even get the chance to try and help, he always has it done before I get home at night. However, he doesn't clean the bathtub/shower. I do that and happy to do it!! I also do most of the washing of the dishes. For some reason I think guys have a certain gene that makes them unable to load a dishwasher properly, and put the dishes away in the right spots. We've lived in our home for 4 years and he still asks where stuff goes :roll: But, I am very thankful that he helps so much around the house!!

Anyway, I would try goo-gone for anything with stickers. For stuff printed on the glass, if the goo-gone doesn't work, I would try the steel wool idea. Be sure to use the 0000 steel wool. Any other steel wool would scratch it. The only reason I know this is that I was an office manager of a window cleaning company for four years, and they use the 0000 steel wool to get stuff off windows (dried bugs, tree sap) that won't come off with regular scrubbing.

My husband is guilty too... can't load properly and says the same thing about not knowing where things go and we have lived in our house for 7 years! I always find things in places that I don't put them usually
