My 14 year old daughter is planning a tea party and I'm stumped. What time is tea time? What kind of food do you serve with the tea? Is ice tea ok to serve. Being in the deep south we just don't have them here.

I think around 3 but could be wrong. sure why not ice tea.

I think it is around 4 or 5. Scones with jam are always a good choice. I know around me in the grocery store (in the international aisle) we can find a jar of Devonshire double cream which is very good.

3 pm is the time we have had tea at retreats much later and it would be dinner. some fruit ,cookies, scones . I'm sure anything you have they will like

3 or 4 in the afternoon
Scones, lemon bars, muffins bits, all in small servings
Cucumber sandwiches, egg salad, chicken salad all on mini sandwiches. Cranberry and cream cheese sandwiches
strawberries, or other fruit
Several different teas with cream and sugar offered
some Lemon cream

you can have a High Noon tea. for food, just think finger foods - very light meals.

also - check with your local library; they might have some books on tea.

but above all - have fun with it. theme idea - Mad Hatter tea party. Everyone has to wear a special hat of some kind. :)

I have some tea from Harrods, I think I might have to have a tea party. This sounds like fun.
