Oh Dear, I hope I've said none of these in my comments!! A wet noodle if I have! :)
|
soooo true. ANd about that ruler. I've hear people say they only had a 36" ruler, how do you measure more.
Morons..... but it did make us all laugh |
omg, hilarious. Thanks for the funny. :D
|
I needed a laugh this morning. Thanks!
|
LOL people say the strangest things
|
Sad but true! We do hear these kinds of comments.

A friend loves quilts and wanted me to make her one while she 'watched'. Well if you have the time to sit and watch you have the time to 'do'... reading the patterns instructions confused her math skills a wee bit. Whats a yard? Well I wrote down the amts of each fabric she would need. Off she went to buy 4 fabrics . We needed 2 2/3rd 1 1/3rd -1 1/2 and another 1 1/2. - She came back with 2yds - 2yds - 1 yd and 2 yds. She rounded them off to make it easier for the girl cutting the fabric. Well she learned a few lessons that day. Always get the exact measurements-cutting is cutting at any length. And Patience is a virtue. She only had to wait an hour for me to go shopping with her. So now she knows that money really does not grow on tree's. 2of the fabrics were nasty ravelers and set her back $36.

The funniest/saddest part of these replies are that, by changing just a word or two, you have comments found on every blog/forum everywhere.
My pet peeve is a comment that is void of any content. For example, in response to a request about using a specific gadget, someone posts, "I've never used an XYZ gadget, I look forward to other people's comments." Now, how is that helpful? Tate |
I would like to buy that quilt - can you change all the red squares for purple ones?
|
This was my favorite.......LOL.....
27.Could you tell me how you basted it? I tried using Nice McQuilter’s method, but instead of 1″x3″ boards, I had to use twigs I found in my yard. I also didn’t have basting thread so I used some twine from the kitchen we use at Thanksgiving to truss the turkey. I wouldn’t recommend that basting method. |
Thanks for my morning laugh, or two, or 19, anyhow, many!
|
Some days you just throw up your hands and cry.

We recently relocated to be nearer to family. I'm primarily a garment sewer but it seems if you sew, everyone assumes you quilt. I have made a few quilts So a niece says to me soon after the move, "now that you're here, the quilt on my bed is getting worn out, could you make me another one?" Yeah, let me just whip that out for you next week.

shaking my head!
|
These are pretty funny. I especially liked the comments after the article!
|
The older I get the more I tell a moron they are a moron.
|
When I got home from work yesterday, my husband said he had picked up sticks in the yard and put them in the garage, just in case I needed twigs for the quilt I'm working on! :)

Funny, but also very sad........that is why I don't do blogs! I would be the one that points out the moronic comments, comments on them, and then be banned! This is our society......I see it in my own extended family members......

These are too funny. When I first started quilting my mother, yes, my mother, asked my why I would buy perfectly good fabric to cut it up and sew it back together.
She told me at least 4 times that I don't need to make her a quilt. Last year she commented that I have never made her a quilt. I told her that "you told me you don't want one" I did make one for my dad. He passed away a year ago and I don't think she has touched it. |
Truly hilarious!!!
