For History lovers- The Roosevelts on Netflix Ken Burns Documentary

This is sooooo good!
It's all about Teddy, Franklin, and Eleanor.
Fascinating series.

Ken Burns produces some of the finest documentaries I've ever seen. I believe The Civil War was his first.

And he collects quilts!

I didn't know that but it doesn't surprise me :)

We watched that series on PBS a year ago or so - very interesting!

PBS did a story about it. Hopefully this link will work. If not, check with your local PBS station.

Thanks for that link, quiltsRfun, I enjoyed seeing all his quilts. There are some unusual quilts in his collection.

SusieQOH & quiltsRfun, thanks for the heads up on the Ken Burns documentaries. I plan to look for the Teddy, Franklin and Eleanor series and hopefully I can catch up on it. I just finished watching the link on his quilts and was so amazed at the collection, but also his love for the quilts. He understands that quilts speak in so many ways. Not just the historical aspect, but also the beauty that the quilter created. I was in awe.

We also watched this years ago on the History channel.....very informative.

Civil War was not his first but it was one that made the world sit up and take note of this film maker. I so enjoy Civil War but also like his series about Baseball, the Dust Bowl and others that do not have the magnitude of Civil War. I don't have Netflix so, I will have to wait for my local library to get the series on DVDs.

This link should take you to the 10 minute video of Ken Burns and his love of quilts.

Thanks for the heads up, SuzieQOH! I googled and found that the Roosevelt series is available on PBS online: https://www.pbs.org/kenburns/the-roo.../watch-videos/
