You know, I am watching NCIS right now as I read this post.....and this video scares me to pieces!!! How on earth will we able to tell one day the difference between truth and reality; the world, it is a-changing. Imagine this if you were at the scene of the Boston Marathon bombing. Or the World Trade Center event. Or a car coming at you in your lane of a high speed highway.
<shaking my head> <glad I'm over 70 and may not be around for the future projected here>

I hate to be a wet blanket, but I don't believe this clip. I think it was a form of CGI, added into the video, just like in the movies. If this was really 3D, wouldn't they have shown a clip of this from a second viewpoint?

CGI ---- does that mean computer generated imagery? ( whatever that means!). I truly wish someone would explain or show how this was/is done, if it truly were done in that gym!! Is there some YouTube tute on this sort of thing?

but, wait, it's on the internet, so it must be true---as said in that priceless commercial!

Macybaby 01-05-2016 08:45 AM

I agree with Tate - watch the crowd, especially those across the court. those farthest away show no reaction when the whale appears. And others are clapping way before it's over. I would also expect to see a lot of kids in the group in front ducking when it looked like the water was coming towards them, but instead most of them are looking off to the side, and paying no attention to the whale. Still, it's very very neat to watch!
