Good, maybe I can cancel my huge charge account and pay as I go or not get!!!!

Between the return of layaway and gold at $1850+ per ounce, that tells you the sad state our economy is in.

Same here. Our Walmart is stocking fabric and making a whole new space for patterns and such. Can't wait until they are done. I don't know how many sewers made this happen, but there is power in numbers. Especially to get Walmart to move on this.

Whoever is responsible, thank you thank you thank you

Those fees really don't seem out-of-the-line crazy to me.

So I'm guessing it's only valid to Dec 16 because regular price cuts/sales will go into effect.

I wonder what happens if you put something on layaway on Nov 1, and then it goes on sale for Thanksgiving. Do you get your layaway adjusted to the lower price as well? ;-) Maybe you get adjusted to the price the item currently sells for when you pick it up.

Enjoy your TV. ;-)

I used to work for Wal Mart & their old layaway program was that if the item went on sale while the item was on layaway, they adjusted the price, but all layaways were for 90 day only after that they canceled your layaway & it was up to you to try & get what money you put down back.

Do they have anything not made in China? We are trying to only buy products made in the USA.

Well... not their fabric, that's for sure.

The layaway is just for toys and electronics at our local store.

I used layaway when my boys were little and I was a single mom. It was the only way we could purchase Christmas presents. We didn't have a credit card. It might help people who have trouble with credit.
PS: that's one of my little boys in the military uniform in my avatar :-D

Now if they bring back fabric in all the stores maybe it won't be such a bad place.

Read the last part, where it talks about bring back items it got rid of from "over zealous cleaning of stores". Gee, you think they heard people like me complaining that they got rid of all the stuff you really wanted to buy, and brought in all the stuff that Target had that no one bought from THEM? Well Duh, Walmart.
