Timers...do 15 minutes at a time, then QUIT and go on to another room. You can come back to this room later, for 15 minutes.

Two Hour Tuesday...

My hubby and I are retired, so are at home in the daytime. On Tuesday morning we work together on one room for 2 hours. It doesn't matter if the room isn't finished, but when its has been 2 hours, we quit. It is a great chance to get a lot of junk put away or thrown away, and have the dust cloth actually reach the top shelf in hubbys tall hands. After a few months of this, you find that it is actually hard to find 2 hours worth of anything to clean in just one room!

This is my vote. Just can't afford one, so the dust, dog hair and spider webs grow. Ever notice how beautiful a spider web can be when the sun shines through it. It gave me inspiration to put one on my halloween quilt.

Flylady is great...if you can stick to it. I haven't really ever gotten past the *shine your sink* stage. And I only do that about half the time. I've decided my revenge on my children will be to clean out my mess when I die!

I go over stainless steel and tiles in the bathroom with spearmint rubbing alcohol. They sparkle and the whole room smells wonderful. You can wipe off your lightbulbs with it too, and then, when you turn on your light the room smells good too.

After paying full price for 8 bottles for my friends (a "give it a try" present) I found them in the dollar store for $1.00! so if you're in the $1.00 store -
give it a try!

Every chance I get, Sister.

I manage to get a lot of things done. I am retired, have been since I was 37 yrs. old. I have my cleaning down to a science. :)

A friend of mine gave me the best time saver yet. She read it in a woman's magazine 30 years ago or longer. The suggestion? Don't wash your ceiling every time you wash your walls. Once a month is enough.
