I had 6 weeks of no quilting to enjoy the visits of kids and grandkids! What a joy to have them here! It's been surprisingly hard to get back to quilting, but I wouldn't trade the time with those beautiful little people. Aren't they the greatest invention!

you just got to love those grandkids

And I bet that six weeks went by too quickly.
Yes, they are the greatest invention. I have only one so far and he is a complete joy. (He turned two on New Year's Day) |
I have a feeling you're going to be lost without them now that they're gone. Although it can get busy with all those little ones running around, the house feels and sounds so empty when they're gone. The hum of a sewing machine will help, but you'll also be looking forward to the next time they come.

My 5 grandkids all make me laugh. Oldest just turned 16, and I suspect this will be the last summer she spends with me. After this year it will be part time jobs and school.
Youngest just turned 4. All are delightful people who I love very much! Am going to have my granddaughter help make her own quilt this summer. She is, shall we say, less than excited. So I told her she didn't have to help, but say so now. She conceded that she would help after all. I look forward to it. |
13 grand kids in my family and my nanny loves all of us. =] oh and 4 great grand kids!
