In Texas today, it was in the upper 70's - very humid and lots of wind. Possibility of a freeze later this week. Our changes always seem drastic. - Cynthia

donnaree59 11-24-2010 07:21 PM

We have had our air conditioner turned off, but couldn't stand it any more yesterday when I started cooking... It was in the upper 70's and no breeze stirring. Our humidity is up because it is hopefully going to rain Friday. Had made it really warm here for Thanksgiving... I'm from Central Georgia.

dreamboat 11-24-2010 07:31 PM

It got 84 here in Dallas today. I almost turned my air condition back on. But tomorrow it suppose to get cooler.

BRenea 11-24-2010 07:50 PM

It hit 80 degrees here today, had a good wind that made it feel a bit cooler. Weather is supposed to change tomorrow...drat!

Norene B 11-24-2010 07:53 PM

Too cold for me...Bring back the 100's :-) :-) :-)

I was in LasVegas one time in November. Temps had dropped to 60 -- EVERYONE that lived there was whining about the cold!! LOL

I used to laugh at the locals there too. and here in California. But living out here basically almost 21 years and not leaving the state in the last 5 years. I too am looking for warmer attire to wear out. Me being a Chicago transplant here am no longer laughing, but bundling up!! BBBBbbbburrr going down in the 20's again tonite for 2nd time with a high of 46 today and will repeat tomorrow. Maybe this year I will see the snow they say Modesto to Merced area get every once in so many years!

Mariposa 11-24-2010 08:22 PM

I woke up at 5 a.m. to minus 10 degrees! It "warmed" up to 17 degrees. Yikes!!

Crlyn 11-24-2010 08:29 PM

Not cold here at all, maybe it's because where not far off summer months starting.........but I would like some of your snow for xmas please! :-D

MsWildflower 11-24-2010 08:33 PM

Here in the Nebraska panhandle it's supposed to drop to MINUS -20 to -30 wind chill tonight. I'm keeping the corn stove burning all night and the furnace turned to 70. Thank goodness I have an electric blanket and that 3 of my 4 cats sleep on my bed with me!

Robbi24 11-24-2010 09:14 PM

To whom is in hiding, I don't want to be there with that cold weather. It was about 40 here today and down to 35 or lower tonight,

Annaquilts 11-24-2010 09:16 PM

Socal 41 degrees. Cold for here.

angelwatcher 11-24-2010 09:21 PM

Well, here in the north of Idaho it's been very cold. Minus degrees overnite warming to the teens for the high. We have 6-8 inches of snow on the ground in town with lots more in the mtns. Ski season will open on Thanksgiving!! My brother in D.C. had to call and gloat that it was almost 70* while we feel like we're in a deep freeze!! Just keep those quilts over you and stay warm!!

Happy Thanksgiving! We are a chilly 13 this morning with a -2 wind chill. Not quite as low as they predicted but it could warm a bit for me.

Rettie V. Grama 11-25-2010 06:21 AM

Zephyr 11-25-2010 06:24 AM

We are a comfortable 62 this morning, to go up to 80 or so today. Then that storm coming across the states is to give us rain and in the 30's tonight. That's a big drop but I remember living in Northern states at the -10 and how the wind came right through the walls etc. Happy Thanksgiving from SE Alabama.

KLO 11-25-2010 06:28 AM

Looks like my son might be moving from Key West, FL to Seattle in the very near future for a job change. Sounds like he will have some adjusting to do .... although after 3 years, he is tired of FL weather.

quilt3311 11-25-2010 06:30 AM

Its 8 degrees this morning with a good breeze, so makes it feel lots colder. Good day to cook a turkey in the oven.

I remember being in England one winter when it was below freezing for 3 weeks straight. Trees broke and power lines went down from the weight of the ice. Now I have moved from warm! southern California to chilly New Mexico and woke up to snow this morning.
PS Love Canterbury. Hope to get back there someday.

wendiq 11-25-2010 07:45 AM

I'm in No. Calif. and woke up to 28 outside at 6:30. Cold for us and early for this year. My DH just went out to get his newspapers and the plastic wrap was frozen.......Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

amandasgramma 11-25-2010 08:31 AM

sandraa 11-25-2010 09:03 AM

Right now it is 36..10pm last night-77.

Tropical 11-25-2010 09:12 AM

We got up to 73 this morning and went straight to the beach for early morning exercise and then coffee while we watched the sun beams dance on the water. Glorious! It's why we moved to the Gulf of Mexico. Panhandle Florida.

fatquarters 11-25-2010 09:33 AM

-15C=4F I think I did the conversion OK. And about a foot of snow!
We are ready for a white Christmas. Now if I could just stay inside and quilt life would be good.
