Gosh, it was so long ago, but I believe I was looking up how to do something, found out about getting the newsletter, I cannot remember how long after it was announced they were going to start the quiltingboard. Watched it for a while and finally had a question so signed up to ask it.

Quilting magazine I think. (Note sure). Glad I found it though.

I've only been on the board a very few months and still can't remember how I found it....must of been looking for free patterns/etc and it popped up. This board is awesome and I have felt at home and am being continually educated. I'm a very new quilter, however, sewed for years. Actually, Olivia's Grammy, I used to teach English smocking in Fayetteville, GA !

I just typed in quilting being new needed help and there it was my life line, could not do without all you ladies and men expert advise and patience with me. Thank you

It's funny you should ask. A few days ago I was wondering the same thing. Then yesterday, one of my long arm customers sent me an email telling me what she's been up to, and it finally came to me. She's the one that told me about this site. Now I've shared the site with friends in my Sit 'n Stitch group and, if I can remember, will tell my guild members as well.

My wonderful MIL introduced me to this site :)

I am not sure how I found it. I have blogs that I enjoy as well. This is more interesting and rewarding than facebook, although I have several quilt sites there as well. Reading the quilting board is part of my morning ritual since probably March, I can't remember for sure when I joined.

Did you have a shop? I vaguely remember a smocking shop.

I was looking for something quilt related on the web,not sure what or what site now but found this link, joined and now I am on it two or three times a day. Love it and all the wonderful other quilters. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable, if you need an answer to something just post it and you will recevieve replys almost immediate. When I tell non quilters about the board they have no idea what I am talking about, their loss.

I think I found it through a search engine. I was playing around after reading about some sewing forums on Ravelry. So glad I found you folks.

I think I clicked on it when it came up on my Facebook page. The one and only ad I clicked on from there! And now I'm here much more than there, I might add!

I recently joined and I was looking for archived patterns for AE Nathan. This came up as a result on Google. Someone was discussing the same thing. Glad I found you all!

I was searching for Amish quilters when I ran across this site. Almost 4 yrs ago, and I'm still hooked :)

I've been in a few yahoo groups, but always get out and I'll be staying right here.

I don't remember either - it was in 2007 but you can be sure that I am sooooo glad I found it.

Same as CraftyBear, I was looking for free quilting patterns and got directed to this site. Glad I found it as I have learned so much about quilting since I joined.

I was looking for Quilter's Newsletter magazine to Get the magazine coming to the house. It was on the list, so I clicked on it. I wasn't to sure I would like it.....But now I have so many friends and have learned many things. My virtual friend, those I can see and touch think I am crazy. I miss my friends when I am away from the computer.
