I use sticky velcro underneath my pedal; does not move around on carpet.

I came up with an unusual solution. I love fabric & have bought way too much, but love it to much to get rid of it. One day I'll use it.....oh, no... I can't be a hoarder, can I?

I have much of it stored in boxes & plastic containers. I ran out of storage space for the boxes & slid one under my sewing area. Whoopee! The Foot doesn't slide forward anymore. This is very similar to the idea of putting a 2x4 piece of wood down. I'm also, very familiar with sewing barefoot holding on to the foot with my toes. That was a real hoot! But it does work.

I think I might try some 3M Command strip and velcro.

I bought some rubber mesh sold at the dollar stores to put in cabinets to cushion plates, etc. I cut it a little larger than my foot pedal and the pedal stays put. When it gets dirty, I throw it away and cut another one. They are cheap.

Just get the stuff that is made for drawer linning. Its rubberized w/little holes in it. I even use it under my machine and cutting board.

I use a large piece of Foam stuff. But usually I sew on one of my machines that has a Knee Pedal., I LOVE those!

try wrapping the cord around the table or chair leg leaving just the length you need to keep it within reach. It can't go any further away from you!

I use a piece of the rubbery shelf liner that you can buy at Walmart. It works well on a hard surface floor.

I just use that grip you get on rolls at the grocery stores and Walmarts and dollar stores. You can just lay a strip down or attach it to the bottom of the pedal. I just put a piece under the pedal. I use it for a lot of things like keeping cutting rulers and material from moving when trying to cut. I've gotten as much as 2 yds. for a $1.00. You can buy larger rolls. Also things on wheels or casters don't move at will as much either. you can also buy a small rubber car floor mat and use that.

I was told to use one of those socks you get in the hospital. You know the ones with the tread on the bottom so you don't slip when walking. Just slip the whole sock over the pedal. I haven't tried it because I can't find those socks. I know I have some, somewhere.
