What a great idea!

QuiltnNan 05-08-2014 02:00 PM

that was entertaining. i gave my hand crank apple peeler to my sister... and i thought that was fast. :)

MaryStoaks 05-08-2014 03:02 PM

That is so neat Ditter! Thanks.

Grandma Bonnie 05-08-2014 03:38 PM

Looks easy enough! Thanks for posting!

lynnie 05-08-2014 04:39 PM

easy peasy, now, why didn't a woman think of that???

zennia 05-08-2014 06:26 PM

Wow what a lot of pies we can make now. My son is a chef. I am going to see if he peels apples like this.

just_the_scraps_m'am 05-09-2014 12:54 AM

thanks for the AM laugh!

institches33 05-09-2014 03:12 AM

Really funny, but he still has to core and slice. I'll wait for the follow up video. He must have a plan!!!

Chasing Hawk 05-09-2014 04:16 AM

Cool video, I have my own cordless drill too. So when my new peelers arrive I may just try this.

Yooper32 05-09-2014 04:20 AM

I think I have now, almost, seen everything.

Craftygirl 05-09-2014 06:01 AM

Love it! Will be doing this for sure.

Rose Marie 05-09-2014 06:25 AM

Using a drill to screw in a screw is hard enough. Im electric drill challenged.

Stitchit123 05-09-2014 06:43 AM

Now that does look easy. But I will not be trying it. I'd have a mess and I really hate washing ceilings.

fayeberry 05-09-2014 07:31 AM

wow - that is priceless! and it WORKS

purplefiend 05-09-2014 08:54 AM

That's a brilliant idea!

mary quilting 05-09-2014 10:38 AM

good to know

Nell Dwyer 05-09-2014 10:45 AM

SMART-thanks for the video-I'll try it next time I make apple pie for the Apple Festival in Ohio-I peeled and cored 52 bushels of apples one year when my girls were in school band-over a month process-small pot pit size

cactusmomma 05-09-2014 10:47 AM

That is so cool. Thanks Ditter43. I am going to try that.

JanieH 05-09-2014 03:28 PM

That's pretty cool!

I had a flash back to Tim Taylor from Tool Time (can't remember the name of the actual show) and what he would have done with this idea! Oh, my!

tkee 05-10-2014 04:03 AM

Do you think he cleans up his own mess?

Arleners 05-10-2014 06:58 PM

LOVE IT! So much more efficient than the peeler I have. It's supposed to stick to the counter so I can just turn the crank. HA! Next time I make apple pie, I'm going to sneak into hubbie's toolbox

RuthiesRetreat3 05-12-2014 11:08 AM

This would be great for home-made potato chips too.

IBQUILTIN 05-12-2014 03:55 PM

It works!!!! Boy when you are doing a bundle of pies or potato salad, it would sure hep out

nygal 05-15-2014 01:50 PM

Great idea!
