I can't imagine after you spend the time designing the name of the company and then readjusting for everyone's personal name, trying to get everything centered , not make a mistake, and then try to be paid decently for all that , that it will pay even a portion of what your time and effort should be worth. Be sure to charge A LOT, so that if they like it and spread your name, you aren't locked into a raw deal, just because you undercharged to begin with. Can you tell I've been soured on making money by selling handmade things?!

I would definitely give this a try if you want to be able to pick up a little extra moneynhere and there. It could lead to other jobs for you later on. If it were me, imwould check the yellow pages and see if you can find somewhere that does custom embroidery and give them a call to find prices. Keep your price reasonable but don't overcharge.

You could also Google custom embroidery but prices may vary in different parts of the country. I wish you good luck!

Maybe I should have added that I make things and sell them to stores. It can be a fun way to pick up a little extra cash. Plus it is nice to deal with customers who enjoy and appreciate your work.

Yep! Comparing prices of single needle machine embroidery vs. multiple needle embroidery ....the time spent per item will be the breaking point on the single needle.
