I have to get some plastic food containers for DH's cereal. We're going to the store together so he can pick.

"What size do we need?"
"2 to 4 quarts."
"That doesn't tell me anything. What size are they?"
"2 to 4 quarts. Plastic containers are sold by quarts or gallons."
"I don't understand. Get me a ruler." He then measured his cereal boxes.
"Honey, when we get to the store they will be sold by volume - not in inches."

He just gave me the dimensions of the cabinet so we can get a container that size.
We are now going out. This should prove interesting. :)

leave it up to a man.... better off doing it yourself...

Yep, this is one of the differences between men and women. I'm sure he will come home with just what he was thinking about.....

Have fun. My DH hates to shop he always leaves it all up to me.

Leave it to a man to make a simple thing complicated.

And it won't fit the cereal or the shelf!

Either that or he'll be convinced that he could do it better and insist on trying to make something himself.

It may be good. There have been times that the dimensions would have come in handy when I shop for containers. Have fun with your together time.

I'm with Clarinet87. Mine would have to build something himself after numerous trips to Home Depot and taking out the cabinet and remounting the hinges, etc, etc, etc. 6 months later the cereal would still be in the original box! gotta love 'em!

at least he isnt trying to mold his own.

Pa is the master of reinventing what is already been done.
