What a great, great thing to do, and for him to take that as a sign is wonderful. Spirits are everywhere...

It took some time for me to calm down enough to realize that God brings things into our focus as the need arises. Just as your husband is testifying to. I agree with him.
When we get done being stunned by what is happening to us enough to reach out and do something for someone else, then a bit of heaven happens on earth, and our burden is not as harsh.
It is the way God is glorified and revealed to a hurting world.

Amen :!:

And I say Amen also. And thank your husband for hearing God's whisper in his ear. Imagine how many will be helped by this! And what a wonderful thing for you two to share in! I bet you're going to make a really beautiful quilt for this! :-)

I wish I knew the words to convey my respect and gratitude for him getting involved like he is. You too.

I learned I had type 2 diabetes 2 years ago. I applaud and commend your husband for getting the ball rolling on this fund raiser....
What a wonderful person your DH is!!

What a great thing for him to do!
BIG HUGS to him!
I have a sister in law that has become blind to diabetes and is fighting the disease every day just to stay alive. Docs said back when she lost her sight that she would probably only live another 5 years. Well? It's been 18 years!

"A cure for diabetes" has been on my daily prayer list for a long time. We have lost a couple relatives to Type 1 diabetes. Your husband is doing a valuable service!

Tell your DH that he is doing a wonderful service! My DH was diagnosed this week with Type 2. I don't even know where to start learning about whtat to do next....I feel like we are living a nightmare after all the stuff he's been through in the last couple of years. For your DH to get his arms around it all..(his surgery, recovery, diabetes diagnosis, weight loss, etc) and do this for the kids...KUDOS to him!
