I was at my moms and seen the most beautiful hummingbird.
It was getting dark but decided I would try and get a picture of the hummingbird. This isn't the hummer I was trying for but I had my flash on and this is what the picture turned out like.
I couldn't believe nothing showed up from the background.
Enjoy

aren't they fun to watch!?

How cool is that? Isn't it fun when a picture turns out so unexpectedly like that. Great shots of the hummer. I too love watching them.

Yeah I don't get many hummers where I live. My mom has 3 feeders that she has fill every other day. Last year we were sitting out where they are and 1 landed on my head. Sat there for quite awhile. I love them. They are so cute. I could sit there all day and watch them.

Kim these are super cool pics. Love those hummers. I have been watching the Sportman's Paradise site where there is a hummer called 'Phoebe', she makes a nest, lays eggs, they hatch and then fledge. There is one little one in the next now called 'Scout'. I have watched her build 5 nests and it is amazing the things you learn about hummers. They use spider webs to keep their nests(golf ball size)together. Their eggs are the size of a jelly bean/tic-tac.

Oh I'm going to have to look up the Sportsman site and watch. They are amazing little creatures.
I thought about asking Birds and Bloom if they would want a picture. I think I'll do that later. I'm going to frame the first picture. 1 for me and 1 for my mom.
Glad you all like the pictures.
