I was stuffing some of the pillows tonight that I have made and posted on here recently. I bought my stuffing from a local department store named "Reny's". I happen to glance at the label, made by "Bosal", Limerick, Maine. I was in shock😳. I had seen, bought, and used many Bosal products over the years and never knew it was made practically in my back yard. I Googled it, as Google is our bestie these days it seems, sure enough. Totally shocked. Has anything like this ever happened to you before, what are some things you've used, only to discover they are made practically in your backyard?

Lol....That's really cool! I bought a jar of honey from a little market inside an RV park in Utah and when I got back to my RV, I read the label and discovered it was harvested from my little town in Idaho. He has a booth at our Farmers Market, too. Lol.... I only buy my honey from him now...lol..

I live in the Cleveland area. Little Tykes toys are made in Hudson Ohio, JoAnn Fabrics is headquartered there as well. Vitamix blenders are based in Olmsted Township Ohio and Sherwin Williams paint is also headquartered in Cleveland. All of these companies are less than an hour from my house.

I live in a Mid-Atlantic state. My sister lives in Oregon. One year she sent me a fancy scented soap. It was made less than 10 miles from me!

As a young mother, I learned that Cool Whip containers were made 2 miles from my house!

I bought Superior Threads just last week and got them the next day!
I was unaware that they have a distribution center right here in Columbus.
I bought several spools and shipping was free but you can imagine my surprise when they came the next day.

My son and I love the purple mints called Violets.
i looked them up and they are made only about 5 miles from us.
we've yet to go down there to see the factory.

Every year or two we leave the cold winter of Canada and vacation in Fort Lauderdale. I have a favourite little clothing shop that sells capris pants shorts that fit perfectly and I save my clothes shopping for there. Imagine my surprise when I one day checked the label and found they were made in Canada!

When my kids were younger, we would visit my parents (2:5 hours away) for their local Easter Egg Hunt. We would always laugh when they would unwrap chocolate eggs, as they were made in the small town we lived in.
