Right now it is cat 1 they expect it to grow to cat 3 and is taking a path that has not been taken by a hurricane in a long while.
They expect it to hit the outer shore of the Carolinas first, then right up the East coast.

I am praying for everyone that is in the path of this storm and hope that it loses it's strength before making landfall in the states. We don't need "another Katrina"!!

I'm inland, so we will get some wind and heavy rain. A lot of rain all at once - just what we don't need as it has been so dry for a while.

hmmm...I get the feeling that Mother Nature is thumbing her nose at humankind today...first the Va. earthquake and now Hurricane Irene...lol...Hope everyone stays safe...Naomi :( :oops: :cry:
