Just want to wish you all 'good luck' for the next 48hrs or so as the hurricane sweeps over you. It looks like a nasty one, I hope you all stay safe.

Thank you all. We live in NY state and got hit bad with Hazel. I can still remember those two huge pines bowing in the wind on the one side of our house. It wasn't long after that they were taken down by my DF. Our prayers to the southern states.

I live in Maine, we are supposed to get hammered on Sunday!

We think we are going to have plenty of rain but are preparing for power outages. I got water, batteries, granola bars, peanut butter (have the jelly made!), buckets on stand-by to draw water for the pets, and today I am going to go for quilting thread. I have a doctor's appt next week not far from the LQS and was going to stop by then, but I might have nothing to do for a couple of days . . . .

My hubby is going to man our hse in RI and I'm heading back to NY to man that one...Hope their predictions are wrong...

Good luck to everyone on the Path of Irene. I don't know why Mother Nature is ganging up on the east coast this week, but maybe its our turn.
