We are the opposite. I make a list every week and he picks the stuff up after work for me. He usually tries to bring home some surprises to but he said our bill doubles when I go with him, so I let him do it. He buys what I put on the list so who can complain. Besides, he makes the money if he wants to spend more on food that is a win win for me....I love food :-)

I don't like taking my family grocery shopping. The bill always doubles when they are with me. I prefer not to deal with the I want this and that attitude it costs me too much money. Then they wonder why we eat chicken all the time.

when my husband retired he started doing the shopping, I was doing it wrong for 40 years. LOL, he doesn't buy one of anything, usually its 6. Anyone need 6 cans of spam...yuk

mine could spend $200.00 each visit to the grocery store. I do the shopping now and the bill is much, much lower.

Husbands are a menace in the grocery store. However, they come in handy at times.

I can't complain about my DH in the grocery store. We are both frugal shoppers. :-D

One of my twins does the shopping a lot for us and has really saved us money - she is very careful; sticks to the list with only one surprise that is for the whole family.

My husband has problems with math...it doesn't add up to him. I deposited 500.00 - then I go look and its $420...his response is "well it was over 400".

I go to JoAnn's spend $60.00 he tells everyone I spent $100.00

I have certain items I buy name brands for and others I don't care. Campbell's soup and blue bell ice cream are my pet peeve - but I don't have a problem buying no name sauces or picante or peanute butter.

We only have 1 chain of grocery store and sometimes their brand is better than name brand stuff....
