Over the WE, I was shopping at a Dollar General, and found a zipper pouch with a large amout of cash in it. I gave my phone number and name to the clerk and requested that she call if someone came back to the store. Within 30 minutes, the $$$ was back in the hands of it's owner (ownership was verifed).
Fast forward to today, I lost my Dell Steak mobile (comparable to ipad meets notebook) during a trip to the grocery store. I know I had it in my purse while in the store as I had answered it multiple times while in store ....kids calling with wants and needs.... When I got home, No Dell!!! I was extremely upset. It was a birthday present from my husband (a costly one) that would have been impossible to replace..would not have been able to do so at this time. Marc drove back to the store, both of us hoping that it could be found. It WAS! God bless whomever saw fit to turn it I!

So happy that there are still honest people. A few weeks ago I went to a thrift store in downtown Wichita while my daughter was having her hair cut down the street. I was happy that I found a quilt..and was browsing around with my find. When I got to the check out there wasn't price on the quilt..so they wouldn't sell it to me...Ok no big deal. Disappointed but Oh well.....walked back down to the salon and my daughter needed to pay...she had given me her envelope with all her money in it when I left to walk down the street....it was GONE! Someone had slipped their hand in my little purse in the thrift store and took her envelope with $170 in it! I was shocked and mad as he**! Whoever did it was good...I never thought I got that close to anyone. I usually zip up..and I wear my strap across so I can keep it close...but #1 I didn't zip & #2 in my excitement of a quilt...let down my guard by NOT zipping & paying attention. Needless to say I had to pay for her hair AND make up her difference...But thank GOD they didn't get my wallet. I can't imagine the nightmare of lost ID credit cars etc. Replacing her money was small compared to what it could have been..although I didn't get to go to the Quilt Shop that day. Sad sad sad.

So sorry. Wish you didn't have to experience that!
