got a box for freecycle items....

then proceded to check all the OTC meds for expiration dates.

kept a note book handy to write down what i need to get in for the cold and flu season.

are you doing anything to get ready for winter?

i use a spray oil to lightly coat the shovel,so the snow doesn't stick, but i wait until the first snowfall. have to get new oil for the snowblower too...

We brought in wood.........and stocked up our pantry.

collecting stuff for charity boxes. Making a list of the projects that I want to get finished before it gets too cold. (I started a bunch of stuff this year & I'd like to get most if not all of them done before 12/31)

I lay in a stock of fabric/crafts for winter.... smile...

hubby is a busy body and already got all the outside stuff winterized.... and he keep a close eye on out dated drugs... so they never stay in our med box if out dated... heck he tosses the milk if it gets within a day of the exp date.....but he is good to restock too.. so I dont complain.

We packed the trucks with "survival" gear....
The basics, flashlights, several pairs of gloves, a few pairs of socks.
We rotate the snacks (beef jerky, hard candies), a couple of blankets.

The house is prepared for the winter in late fall, all the outside faucets are covered, hoses put away. The ice melt is where we can get to it. The dogs have heated water dishes and oil radiator heaters in their houses. We keep the pantry and freezer stocked.

We have propane heaters, cook stove and a generator if the power goes out. We can't have a wood stove because I am allergic to the smoke as well as the wood.

We still have alot to do, but hubby HAS to winterize the camper this weekend. We are having a beautiful week here in MI

we have to do your 5th wheel yet too.
And your right, the weather here is michigan is great right now..a good time to get the outside finished up. This is also a good week to get Christmas lights up on the gutters..

I think the next thing i will do, is go through my closet and try on jeans and tops to see if they still fit. Freecycle them if they don't, let's face it, if i haven't managed to squeeze into them this past spring/summer and Fall..chances of me getting them to fit this winter, is a fat chance in you know where!

Same here! Had DH check the generator too.
We aren't close to stores so I make sure the pets have a good supply of food too : ) Meds is a good idea. I'm going to check what we have on hand and make a list. Thanks for the idea!

I'm so happy I live in the South! The biggest winterizing project I have to do is to be aware of when a hard freeze is coming so I can wrap my outside faucets and put my potted plant in the garage for a few days. Sometimes we don't get a hard freeze. :D

I make sure i have fabric and books to read. Also looking for a new winter coat.
