I have Dell Latitude D800 with Windows XP. When I turn it on the page comes on and says to inter administrator password.
This computer had been off for some time and for some reason when I inter my password it keeps telling me to enter administrator password and after a few attemps it shuts down. I wanted to take up to the hospital to see if my daughter Susan would use it, but so much for that idea now. |
Try start/log off user, then reboot.
When it comes on I do not have the start logon option simply enter administrator password. on a large yellow screen.
‘Sometimes’ you can just hit enter and it will work. Since it has sat for a while this probably won’t work but it’s worth a try.
You can also try typing in the actual word "admin". My computer guy told me to do that in the past and it worked.
Otherwise you have to go back to when you first set up XP. |
if all else fails, reinstall the operating system.
or try typing in sysadmin and try it both in small letters or capitals.
