I have decided I rely on my computer far too much!!

I am one that is foggy headed for about an hour after I get up. I know better than to try to do anything important then.

I got up this morning put the dogs out and sat down to the computer. My usual morning routine.

I checked my emails and saw one from Family Tree. It said Wish Nathan a Happy Birthday. My son - I thought I'm not going to do it online I'll call him. So I picked up the phone and got his voice mail. I don't usually leave a message because he is an electrician and is usually too busy to pick up. So I usually just hang up and he will call me when he has time. He has caller ID of course. But I left a message I just wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday! Remember the day you were born really well!!

I had another call coming in. I answer it and it was Nathan
He says Mom it's not my birthday.
Me- Ummmm ok oh yeah it 's the 22nd right (I had NO idea what today's date was!!)
No Mom it isn't
Me- yeah I mean the 23rd! Sorry about that! I always get the 22nd and the 23rd mixed up. Your grandma does that and then I can't keep them straight! (my youngest son is April 22)

I said well at least I'm the first to wish you Happy Birthday!! LOL LOL I felt really foolish not getting my son's birthday right!

I do! know the differance between my sons birthdays! LOL

When telling my DD about this she laughed and said Dont' try to do anything til you wake up MOM!!

Well I was the first when he was born! LOL I wasn't the first to see him tho. He was 5 wks early and the dr said if you want to you can watch in the mirror up there (behind his head) and then he stepped in front of the mirror! LOL

Nathan was born with pneumonia. He was a blue baby and they had to blow oxygen into his lungs. They didn't know if he swallowed fluid during birth or fluid was forced in with the pneumonia. He almost died that day and was in neonatal unit they now call NICU for 14 days. He was rushed to a town 30 miles away with in hours of being born to the neonatal unit.

He is now "going to be" (musn't forget he hasn't had his BD yet! LOL) 35. He's a son a husband a father and a grandfather to 3 with one more due in Dec!

My mom mixes up my birthday and my sister's birthday. She cant miss up the other two sisters, both were born on the 22nd just different months.
My sister's is on the 17th and mine is on the 19th so she frequently misses my sister's and is early for mine. Doesnt bother me, aggravates my sister to no end.

But then I cant keep my mom and my grandmother's straight. One is July 5 and one is July 6. Just a few months ago my mom was picked up unconscious by the squad and in all the confusion, I gave them the wrong birthdate....screwed up things at the hospital for days.

Can't be any worse than mixing up my nephew's birthday (11/8) with anniversay for me & the ex (11/9). Imagine my embarrassment when I called him on the 9th to wish him Happy Birthday, only for him to have to tell me it was the day before.

This is the same nephew that was ring bearer at the wedding. 8 years old at the time. Said to me "Aunt S thank you for getting married for my birthday!" See - he started it! I think I've been confused ever since LOL
