dd is 21 and she cooks eggs for herself every morning. I hate to smell them cooking! Now I love eggs and the younger kids and I eat them for breakfast too. But she cooks them past the point of being "done". They're dry and brown. Very few smells bother me but overdone eggs are one that gets me every time. Its hard to sit here and concentrate on school with the younger ones when I want to be sick from the smell!

Ewwww..... stinky.

OMG my DD does that, too! It drives me absolutely nuts. The other thing is burning cheese, which usually accompanies burning eggs. When I was pregnant I seriously had a meltdown over it, because I'm like WHAT is WRONG with you...I said...I CAN'T STAND THAT SMELL!!!

On the bright side of things, she feeds herself!!

DH objects to greens being cooked so I don't cook those inside out of respect for his stomach. If this was my 21 year old DD and she knew I was sensitive to the smell of her eggs and cooked them anyway she'd find herself without a pan to fry in.

Show her how to cook them in the microwave. She can get them bone dry without burning them in the nuker. I am the opposite, I prefer my eggs soft boiled, sunny side up or if they are scrambled they are just threatened. I like them very soft!

I can understand that,I hate the smell of chicken cooking but I do like to eat it.

My oldest daughter (21) did the same thing when she lived with us. Hated it, but like Lisa says, at least I'm not cooking for her. |
you have my eternal sympathy. I hate the smell of burned eggs also.

I hate that smell too, but if they are cooking for themselves and cleaning it up I don't complain. I just plug my nose.
