something I can lean back in a chair and do while not aggravating my messed up neck. These are dish cloths -100% cotton yarn.

Those are always a good project. You can never have too many dish cloths! I hope your neck feels better soon.

Jingle 12-17-2012 11:27 AM

Very nice and useful.

QuiltnNan 12-17-2012 12:42 PM

wolph33 12-17-2012 01:39 PM

thanks -it was fun to do too

Floralfab 12-17-2012 02:45 PM

Nice dishcloths. I love to crochet too. I find it relaxing. Hope your neck is better soon.

LivelyLady 12-17-2012 05:04 PM

Great job. I make them, too. When I get ready to start the dishwasher, I put mine on the top shelf with the fingers up through a couple of the crochet spaces. Everyone I have given them to now do the same.

I have heard that they are wonderful. They are always sold out at craft sales.

Hope you heal well and quickly. I just love those dishcloths, but always thought they were knitted. I could do these. Is it double crochet? It's sure been a long time since I've crocheted! Your work is nice and neat!

fran624 12-19-2012 07:02 AM

Like your pattern Is it a double and single or it may look like fdc or bdc The texture is really nice. Could you possible give us the directions? Thanks

Rann 12-19-2012 07:11 AM

They can also be knitted.

Very nice. What kind of stitches did you use? Would like to try making them too.

I've also seen ones made larger and used as a mat to dry the dishes. Very useful!

Yours are very nice, especially your colors.

I just started back up crocheting again a couple weeks ago too! Now I am on a yarn buying spree. I have made a few hats, dishcloths and am finishing a scarf for my sister-in-law. It is relaxing and allows me to keep my husband happy by being in the same room while he watches TV :)

sewingsuz 12-19-2012 02:13 PM

Hope you get well real fast. No fun with neck problems. Nice dish clothes.

cherrio 12-19-2012 02:56 PM

google free croched dishcloth pattern or go to lion brand yarn website. tons of free patterns. vanna white has free patterns also. have fun

quiltinglady-1 12-19-2012 04:04 PM

That looks like half double crochet stitch. A friend made me some and I loved them, but when my hubby was the
cook for a few years after he retired and I was still working I think he threw them away not knowing what they were.

sewdamncute 12-19-2012 07:52 PM

Hope your neck is feeling better!

wordpaintervs 12-19-2012 09:25 PM

Love those dishcloths, don't make them but I buy them at the craft shows when I can.

Sewfine 12-19-2012 10:03 PM

Nice dish cloths. I'm a crocheter also.

I feel your pain as I am recovering form surgery. I have been crocheting as well. There are tons of free patterns online. I crochet 3 owls toques, 2 head warmers, 2 neck warmers, and 2 large Christmas wreaths. Your works looks nice and. Neat.

Suze9395 12-20-2012 04:17 PM

I love them, they are all I use. I like to use them to practice stitches and patterns.

Barbshobbies 12-20-2012 09:05 PM

We live in mid-Wis, had 13" of snow 12-20-12, it`s time to crochet again. I make all kinds if items, and give things like dolly blankets & scarves to local shelters and havens where children some times need something to hang on to.

pennycandy 12-21-2012 12:02 AM

I love the colors of the first cloth. I use hemp jewelry twine to knit mine. It lasts longer than cotton.

wanda lou 12-21-2012 11:15 AM

Handmade dish clothes are the best!!!!

hperttula123 12-22-2012 08:56 PM

great job on them. :)

annthreecats 12-23-2012 03:09 AM

Nice dishcloths. I love crocheted and knitted dishcloths. I sometimes crochet ganny squares with cotton yarn to use as dishcloths. They are super quick and easy.
