I don't color my hair because I know I could never keep up with my roots... and I like folks smiling at me and being so helpful and thinking DH and I are "cute" because we hold hands in public..... Gray hair has lots of advantages!

Gray hair definitely beats being bald!!!!
You are my kind of gal!!!!:);)
yes, i have a young face, but want the 'advantages' of age in the public. so glad my hair is gray
I started getting gray hair the minute I got pregnant at 27. And I never colored my hair because I would never be able to keep up with the roots (my hair grows very fast) and to me roots look way worse than gray hair. My grandmother told me I should die it because she never knew her mother without gray hair. Told her my daughters would just have to deal with it. In 2004 I had chemo and lost all my hair, it came back even grayer, way softer, so I can definitely tell you, gray hair is better than no hair.
Even then i didn't use a wig, still prefer the real stuff. |
Amen

grey is just a different name for silver and according to the Scriptures 'sivler hair is a crowning glory'...not the exact words but you get the idea.
I color mine, I am just not ready for white hair. My late DH had beautiful silver hair, mine would be white and not as pretty as his was.
Mine is greying fast, and DH has silver hair. The guy that owns one of our favorite antiques shops here is pretty young (maybe early 30's). Last time we were in he told us how much he loves to watch us, because we are so in love and it's a beautiful thing. Hahhaaa.
I quit coloring my hair and love, love, love my white hair. I get so many compliments on it and I, too, enjoy the benefits of it. Course I am over 70 and husband and I still hold hands. Well, when we can turn loose of the walker and scooter chair.
I'm not ready for gray hair just yet. I color my hair but I have a great, great advantage, my daughter has a beauty shop.
it's not called 'grey', it's 'high-tech silver'!!
I have colored my hair since I started graying when I was 25. My mother also grayed early and colored her hair. I am a true red head and always enjoyed getting the "not found in nature" shades of red! About 3 years ago, I developed an auto immune disorder and became extremely allergic to hair dyes among a million other things. I cannot color my hair without risk of death!! So, I cried for a while about the loss of my signature red hair and watched as the grays took over! I am 44 now and am completely gray. I suspect people think I am older than I really am but I would rather be alive!!
