I have had a blessed day and I wanted to share with you.
I woke up prepared to sew, read postings and putter around the house. The phone rings and I am invited to spend the day with two of our members who live near me. I met two very special people. I enjoyed their company very much. We visited, I was invited into 'the' sewing room and what a room that is. Yep!
Then we went to the new quilt store. I met the owner, so personable. Nice store with lots of desirable treasures. Our next stop was lunch at the Mexican restaurant where I ate my heart out!!!!! I promise you. There wasn't enough left on my plate to feed a toddler. Yummy!
Then to Walmart to the you know what department.
From there to my first Guild meeting. I met so many nice people and I was invited to come again. :-D
Now I am home with my feet up and coffe mug in hand. What an excellent day.

Sounds like the perfect day to me!!! I am so happy for you that you got to meet some other members and go to a guild, too :D:D:D

Melody 05-20-2010 01:51 PM

That is MY kind of day! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Nothing like that feeling of a day "well done."

bearisgray 05-20-2010 02:02 PM

So glad you had a wonderful day.

MamaBear61 05-20-2010 02:09 PM

I also think that sounds like the perfect was to spend the day. Lucky you.

purplemem 05-20-2010 02:27 PM

Yep, I am a "special person".

I was one of the two with Dorothy on our Girls Day Out! We had so much fun traipsing around the BIG city to the Quilt Shop and the bestest Mexican food around. Shrimp Chimichanga, so goooooooood!.

Quilt Guild is beginning to grow on me. It's getting a little livelier and we're growing with new people. It helps to have newcomers to ask questions and exclaim how beautiful everything is.

I'm sorry we forgot to get a picture. It was raining cats and dogs today, and we just kept rushing to stay out of the rain. Maybe next month?

trupeach1 05-20-2010 02:34 PM

sounds like the perfect day, minus the rain.

stitchinwitch 05-20-2010 03:12 PM

Well, we are glad the "3 Muskateers" enjoyed themselves! More fun in the future, I guess!

I don't think you could ask for a nicer day. Wish some of you lived close to me!

So glad the 3 of you had such a good day today. It's much nicer when you know a person by face and name. :)

CarrieAnne 05-20-2010 07:07 PM

Sounds like a perfect day!

Now that was a nice day! So happy for you all.
With friends, food and fabric...who cares about a little liquid sunshine?
You got your tummy and your heart filled, and your wallet a tad lighter, ;), LOL,...but look at the memories made.
Can't buy that feeling with a bunch of money.
You described it so well, I feel all warm and fuzzy now.
You can take Mousie on one of your trips again :XD:
