I am not sure when you item will be shipped. PBS is quite protected that they want people to watch the show on PBS. They have been showing a review of the 4 season on my local PBS because it is that time of year for fund raising. ENJOY!!

Wow! A pre-order and the show is not even out yet! I will wait till it's out for a while before ordering. I bought the first 4 seasons on eBay for less than $15.00.
I love the era it is set in. It is so glamorous and enchanting. |

I watch the season as it airs in England on my computer. There are many UK sites that run British tv channels for free.

...era so romantic and splendid....only for those living in the manor house......the villagers- not so much......but that is the same now to a degree, and will probably always be.

Where did you find it as I am collecting the series. Got started watching it halfway thru the 4th season so picked up the entire collection so I had an idea what's been going on. I'll watch the series on TV when it comes out but I'm a collector of movies as I tend to fall asleep when I watch TV. Takes sometimes up to 3 times to watch it all as I miss bits and pieces.

Isn't it the greatest winter pastime? I may have to order it as we are planning on kicking the cable. We have found we are paying toomuch for channels that we either never watch or for those that have become nothing but trash. I watch a lot of BBC on Netflix.

If I had my way, I would discontinue cable also. Some days I wish I could discontinue the internet, but then I wouldn't have this wonderful board to follow.

Just finished ordering myself from Amazon.com Ordered a few more movies I had my eye on too. Been trying to replace all my VHS with DVD as they come available. One I had to put on hold as its just too high priced in my book. Some such as the Sidney Sheldon movies I still haven't been able find on DVD.

I didn't start watching until last year but a friend loaned me her DVDs so was able to watch from season 1. Then I bought my own DVDs. I'm anxiously waiting for Season 5. I know I won't be able to watch it on PBS -- someone else in our family is in charge of the remote!
