Crochet is very easy. Get a hook and some yarn and have someone show you how to get started. I love to crochet. Once you've learned the basics the sky is the limit. Hope you enjoy it and love it as much as I do.

I agree crocheting is very easy. You're not all THAT far from me. If you want to meet up somewhere I'd be happy to show you.

Check out you tube there is alot of videos that show you how to make the different stitches and they are free!

Teach yourself from youtube! Crochet is so much easier than knitting. You don't have to worry about dropped stitches, if you make a goof, you just rip it back and do it again. Start with something simple like a crochet Granny Square or a crocheted washcloth. Buy one of giant balls of yarn from Walmart and a crochet hook and get busy!

If you can sew, you can certainly learn to crochet. First learn how to make a starting chain. Then the first basic stitch (sc - single crochet) is just a small step away from that stitch. Once you can do the sc, the other stitches are basically just adaptations of that one. Get yourself a skein of pretty "worsted weight" yarn and a larger hook - size J is good for learning. With this, you can make an easy neck scarf. It'll go quickly and because it's gonna be scrunched up anyway, will hide any irregular stitches. :)

There are many videos on you tube that will teach you how to crochet. Try first with a large crochet hook and yarn. Once you have mastered that, then, if you want, you can move on to crochet cotton and a smaller hook.

Get a crochet book and just get started. Having a book at hand will be much easier than watching a video. You will be able to work at your leisure. I use to crochet, don't any more. My oldest sister taught me years ago. She said I would never learn it. So, I had to prove her wrong and worked at it. I have made all kinds of afghans and even a crocheted bedspread with pillow shams for our double size bed. Used it for years and have it put away now. I crocheted doilies too. My oldest Daughter learned in middle school and still does it.
