My husband connected a Y hose to the hot water to by pass that. I can tell a difference when rinsing in heated water instead of cold. The new washers are rather foolish with the settings, sensing, locking, and programming involved.
I think they all have lid locks now, and they all have only cold water rinses. My son disconnected the lid lock, and when I need a hot wash and rinse, I just swap the hoses and run a cold/cold cycle. The Y hose is a brilliant idea, I'll look into that. |
I just got a box of the Arm and Hammer for my birthday. The friend that gifted to me uses them and says she does cut the sheets in half. I dont know the price and have yet to try them. Geesh - i just got them on Friday and had forgotten about them. Did 2 loads of laundry today!

I recently got a Speed Queen. I couldn't wait for my front load to die LOL.
The SQ is the BEST washer I've ever had! I love that thing. I don't usually get this excited about appliances but it's the bomb. I just washed my King quilt in it and it came out beautifully. |
