I couldn't resist this sweet cow creamer on ebay. I slipped a flat disk of felted wool yarn in her back and gave her a pink tongue for character. Her name is Blue Belle and she sits by my sewing machines.

Terrific idea....so much better than using it for it's original purpose - I never did like the 'vomiting cow' thing when they are used for milk:). I was thinking of doing this with those vintage novelty planters (the small ones) or even little vases.

WOW, I have one very similar to yours!! My Dad had bought it sometime in the 60s when he was traveling on business in Europe. Now I know what to do with it. Haven't seen it since I moved.

She's a doll! And useful, too.

What a great idea! Now I am on the lookout for a cow with an open back. Thrift store, here I come...

Hey Irishgal,

That is ingenious! And just too cute.

And thank you very much for your service in keeping us all safe.

I might make sure its not a real delft peice...could be worth a few yards of fabric!

That's really cute. I"m looking for a small dachshund planter now to make a pin cushion for my quilty friend in TN.
