You're the second person to suggest the T-shirt idea...We'll do this for sure! THANK YOU!

I like the price!!!!! Seems like all the entrance fees and "eats" run into a little cash when running and doing for two weeks. And they get tired anyway, of fun every second. That's when I run to the library, so they can have some quiet days in there too. GREAT idea!

When I also have my DGS I try to have a day at the zoo, museum, park, lake or pound or even the beach. You know, even just planting some beans first day, and watching those grow between wet papertowel layers and a clear tall jelly glass is fun stuff for little ones...about as much as they would be able to actually "see" with their own eyes in a wk for the youngest DGD...but maybe radishes possible (?) for older ones here for two weeks. I never thought of this before. May see if they want to plant some small plants from garden center to at least dig in the dirt a little. Their mom likes to plant things in pots on the front porch. They could do that even...at least.

Thinking about the glass/papertowels/beans thing I had just written about last response. OKC does have a great zoo, and I have taken all the older DGC there numerous times. Buy the family membership to get in multiple times per year with the crowd...and membership to Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. One to downtown's OKC Art Museum has expired...
I really like to encourage their creativity and artistic endeavors. One really is quite a sketch artist...pretty impressive honestly.

They can even take them home with them.

Oh no...never do forget that...in fact I've got a big tub of those fat chalks ready to go. Send them some home every couple years too.

I never thought of that before! Wonderful suggestion...really have to watch out for whoever man's the rope...too many viewings of wiped out "helpers" on America's Funniest Video. We do want SAFE fun around here!

ANOTHER GREAT IDEA! Wow...they are big enough to do so much more this year. THANK YOU!

OK, I'm off to write an email asking these kids to do some online research...see what THEY want to explore, and find some recipes to do some cooking here themselves, and either bring a T-shirt to decorate or something of their choice,
tell me what they want in the garden and plan to help, and I'll be about set! Just pick up some extra surprises, and I'm about set!
~THANK YOU~ EVERYONE FOR ALL THESE GREAT IDEAS!!!!

We use a very long rope so the man at the rope is far off. We also tell the batter to stop when we say, immediately, just in case of emergencies which we haven't had, and then they also don't swing while you go to un-blindfold them.
