Ideas please for concussion patient

My 67-year-old brother sustained a severe concussion in a bicycle accident last month. He is in PT for his physical injuries, but for the concussion, is supposed to "rest" his brain periodically. I sent him a slinky which he finds to be the perfect mindless amusement, but I need to think of other things to send. Any ideas? Thanks to all who can help.

If a slinky works for him , how about those fidget spinners that were out a couple years ago

Package of cards for solitaire? Etcher Sketch if they still make them? Art paper and pencils? Those marker books and markers?

A fidget mat?

The new replacement for fidget spinners is “pop-it’s”. They are made of silicon and they are great for mindless activity.

How about a Rubik’s cube

When I had a wild, hectic day at work, I would put a Dean Martin or Frank Sinatra CD in the CD player in my car for the ride home. I found that would help me unwind.

I was out to visit my daughter and grandchildren this last week for four days. The first thing my granddaughter showed me was the Pop-its. She had a full drawer full of them and this mindless toy kept her busy for hours. I was amazed. The fidget spinners were in the next drawer.

I find putty or some other tactile manipulative a nice mindless activity.
