Even though they don't grow on a bush, vine or tree, I'd be aparagus as they are slim and delicious.

I'm afraid I'm a green bean that's been on the vine too long. I started out super slim and now I've gotten fat and lumpy.

The first thing that came to mind is an eggplant. A little offbeat, but smooth of skin and tastes great with some sauce and cheese....
