We looked at a house in Boise because I want to be near my children as I am getting older. It had hardwood floors in the bedrooms and as I checked the storage cabinets, what to my wondering eyes did appear? Quilts and lots of them all folded neatly. They didn't accept our offer but would have loved to chatted with her.
Ah well maybe there is another one when we go back in Sept./Oct.

I sure hope you find a house soon

It was really nice.
Nothing fancy but had a big barn for the motor home.
Lots of land for a city house.

Better luck next time.

I hope an even better home is available and comes through on your next trip there :D:D:D

Maybe your offer will seem more reasonable in September/October?

There is only one problem with lots of land...you have to take care of it...

Good luck on your search!

I am hoping they will change their minds and if not, I guess there is always another house.
Thanks for the good thoughts.

when we bought our second house, we made an offer in December and it was declined, they called us in February and ask was we still interetsed we bought that house for less than we offered.
So hang in there.

We are also looking at houses so that we might be closer to the kids and this long distance house hunting is for the birds. The best thing is that on the 4 day trip, I take my hand quilting and work on it. Last trip I took my small sewing machine and unwound in the hotel room in the evening by sewing. Kept me sane with the DH's driving. I also convinced him that we needed a laptop and now I can keep up with my quilting buddies.

Well, we did just the opposite from you ladies!
We moved AWAY from the kids. LOL

They lived just down our driveway from us & would always want mom & dad to take up the slack for them. Anything from babysitting on short notice to working on their cars.
So, we moved 10 hours north of them. We go see them when we can & it's usually an ok visit cause we don't stay too long.

Good luck on finding the perfect place!

Oh well, I am getting over it. Decided I would just wait. If they change their mind, ok. If not there is always another house.
