but! then how do you see what you are doing?
I just thought of something ... when the babies were really little it seemed like I would just get done putting on a dry diaper, pick them up, and they were WET AGAIN!
I came to the conclusion that at some point, very early on, the babies figure out that being out in the open when they are urinating is not the preferred place ...
I am like a fanatic about dry, clean diapers. I may really lack in the housekeeping department, but honies, let me tell you! My babies NEVER had diaper rash (unless I gave them tea too soon!) ... I loved my cloth diapers and wouldn't want anything else, ever! I can't imagine that they were wet long enough to be ready to wet again, but ... it was usually after a nap (I didn't wake them up to check to see if they were wet - - I was not that fanatical! LOL) so that is probably why it was apparent to me.

I really am liking those alert babies! Know it means a lot of work, but by golly! Healthy is a GOOD thing! <wave>

Ok, took babies to have them weighed. They are growing!!
Little D is now at 6lbs 11 oz and Olivia is at 5 pounds 9 ounces. That's almost a pound for each since Christmas! WOOHOO!!
Everyone there was oohing and ahhing over them. There was one baby that was 5 weeks old and was HUGE! Little Olivia looked like a peanut next to him. lol
But, I am so glad my babies are gaining. Heck, they should be. Little D will nurse on mom for 15 min each side then down 3 ounces of formula. Olivia will do the same but will down 2 ounces. Gotta get them growing.
Last night they both slept for 3 hours, which was great. Hopefully by the time I leave, they will sleep for a straight 5 hours between midnight and 5am so Lauren can get some sleep.

okay! so, now I know ... your Gbabies are being breast fed ... watch that need to nurse thing, but mama can also increase the quality of her milk with one beer a day or by drinking tea ... I drank Lipton for quality, but I am sure your tastes are a bit more sophisticated ... and, mama also needs to make sure she drinks plenty of fluids ... one of my aunts couldn't nurse her baby without a HUGE glass of water at her side.
Me, on the other hand, walked around with HUGE glasses of tea all day long, so I wasn't so thirsty as auntie seemed to be.
The other thing: Now is NOT the time for mama to be worrying about her weight ...
with my first baby, granted I had gained a lot (I was VERY healthy and LOVED being pregnant) anyway ... within six weeks of having the baby and nursing exclusively, I had lost 60 pounds! (almost right back to where I weighed before I got pregnant)
I forget how many calories nursing a baby uses, but it utilizes a bunch!
just some more input <g> <wave>

She always has water or juice with her. Or, I make her some green tea which she loves. Gives babies a bit of gas, but thats ok lol I don't change diapers much :)
Babies aren's strictly boob babies, they do get supplemented with formula since they are wanting to eat so much, but that's ok, we need them to grow.
