Vanessa17 02-02-2011 04:47 AM

he looks perfect!

fixfido 02-02-2011 05:31 AM

She's a beauty! I got a kick out of everyone calling her a "him". I'm a vet & happen to know that this color combo means she is female! What a pretty GIRL!

I lost my Kuro after 22 years and a couple weeks ago I almost came home with another cat. Not quite ready. I need to wait for my human relationship to have lasted longer than the cat one!

Someone on this site sent a photo of a black cat resting on the quilt frame (I think?) with the title of Darn that Cat!
That was my kitty's face to a T. I've since seen many look-alikes and wonder about temperament. Kuro (black in Japanese) was a genius at how to get along with everyone (our other hateful cat especially, also long gone) and even at 22 she smelled sweet and clean. No teeth, deaf and mostly blind, still purred for me on the day she died.
Can you tell I miss her? I won't bore you with how we met and how she came to be mine...

This touched my heart.... Made me think of my own fur baby (a Yorkie) I lost after 17 years. She was looking to me to help her, and gently went to sleep... Still miss her terribly. There's a awful lot of us on this board who love our fur babies!

He sure is handsome and looks like he will do an awesome job!

I am hoping you get one too. My old man cat finally got too tired at the age of 19. Last year we took in a pregnant cat to care for and figured we would keep one and adopt out the rest through the local shelter. We ended up with two amazing quilt helpers. They help pull the thread when I am sewing (amazing how fun that spinning spool is). They are great at flatting out projects I am in the middle of, ironing the fabric? very helpful with the wiggly cord. I think absolutely no one should be without little quiltng helpers. I know you should get TWO! (after all when your not sewing who is going to instigate the old well you take it? no you take it? arguement). I find my seam ripper in new and interesting places. Two days ago I thought DAMNED I know I cut enough of these triangles. Had to cut another one. Found the missing triangle in the bathroom later. Hum... wandering quilt pieces. Here are their pics. They want you to know they are COMPLETELY innocent of all wrong doing.

He's a beautiful cat. I'm happy that you both found each other. Every cat needs a loving home, and a quilters home is the best.

Congratulations on your new family member/quilt inspector. He looks as though he is definitely up for the task. Especially the important 'comfort test' of your quilts and we all know how important this part is :) He is a beautiful boy! Give him a pat on the head for me. What have you chosen for his name?
