I'm so very sorry it has taken me so long to send this thank you to everyone. I really really appreciated the cards, fat quarters, candy, thoughts, prayers and the walker bag has been a God-send. They brought much comfort and made me feel so loved. Thank you so very much!
So, much in my life has changed since my surgery. First I got an infection and had to go back to the hospital for a couple of days to get IV antiboitics. Then I was home 4 days and my husband became very ill. He was in the ICU for 10 days and then in a regular room for 4 more days and came home last Wen. Now in addition to the COPD and diabetes, he has congestive heart failure and an irregular heart rythum. The doctors talked about shocking his heart to see if they could get it back into a regular rythum but decided against it because they would need to put him out and they didn't think his lungs could handle it so they are trying to treat it with medication. With all of this going on, he is not able to get around on his own. He is still very weak, in fact I had to get help to get him up last Thurs. So, he needs to use a Jazzy to get around. The doors and halls in our house weren't wide enough for the Jazzy so we had to move. I rented a 1 bedroom apartment with a den (sewing room) in West Jordan on Wen. and we moved on Saturday. The good news is we are now 3 minutes from our daughter, 15 minutes from his doctors and hospital instead of 50 minutes! The even better news is I am now close to several fabric stores and quilt stores and I still have my honey hubby. Thank you again and I truly love each of you. Hugs, Gail |
Oh Gail, sounds like a rough trail you have had. Happy that it is working out for you and your husband! Take Care!

Gail,
I have CHF and diabetes and lung damage. It is a long struggle, but it does get better. I will continue to pray for you and your DH. I love living in apartments. Everything is so fresh and new, and no yard to cut! Enjoy your new space. Hugs, MJ |

I guess the old expression, when it rains it pours, really applies here! I am glad you are better and hope your DH will get stronger soon. :D

So glad your home. My hubby too is very sick with copd. He gets anomia(I always spell it wrong) all the time. Hope you both feel better,
|
I'm so glad to hear from you...I've been worried. I am sorry both you and your husband have been through so much lately, but hopefully the days and weeks ahead will go smoothly.
I hope your rehab is going well and you are getting free of pain. I also hope you feel up to sewing, because we all know how engaging in our favorite pastimes, our spirits are lifted. I will keep you and your husband in my prayers. ;) |
Oh Gail!!! It is SO wonderful to see you on the board!!
I'm so sorry for all you have been through. keep you chin up and know that we will continue to pray for you. |
Thanks ladies, were will be ok and there are some good things that have come from all of this, I set in the hot tub last night. It made my hip and back feel much better. And I only have 950 sq. feet to clean, so when i get all settled I will have more time to quilt. Plus I get to see a lot more of my grandkids. All but one is within a mile of me.
But this doesn't mean that we don't need your prayers and I really appreciate your love. Big hugs, |
You definately have my thoughts & prayers coming your way. It's no fun when we or a loved one is sick or having health issues. Health is like the weather, one day it may be storming & the next day the sun will be shining! I am hoping for sun shine filled days for you & your DH
|
Gail, I am so sorry for what you have been through, my prayers are with you! I am glad that it is working out well. I was looking for you to get another label! But if things are too stressed for you right now I can find a different one, or actually figure out my own embroidery machine and make one! Naw, that would mean having to move around everything in our tiny room!
anyway you and you hubby are in my prayers! |
