I am in the middle of a bad storm, alarms sounding, as warning to seek shelter. But I am going back and forth between mixing Dog Treat dough and looking at this site.
I knew I was addicted, but have I gone beyond no return?

amma 04-04-2011 10:52 AM

Holy cow! Go to a shelter LOL we will still be here after the storm passes :D:D:D

donnajean 04-04-2011 10:59 AM

Get your computer unplugged till you hear no more lightning or you will be in computer withdrawal.

Country1 04-04-2011 11:01 AM

Oh well, if the God Lord takes me out now I would truly be blessed, furr babies at my feet waiting on fresh treats, on the greatest site ever, in my kitchen with new fabric a bought at Hancock's this morning within reach on the island. What a way to go, uh? Holding my spatula high in 1 hand and fabric in the other!

CoventryUK 04-04-2011 11:04 AM

Yeaaaah!!! Welcome to the club!!!

redturtle 04-04-2011 11:05 AM

Country1 04-04-2011 11:12 AM

If any of you see me flying over, I'll be the one waving the fabric. Please be so kind as to point me to the nearest fabric store or Quilt show.

Country1 04-04-2011 11:19 AM

You will not believe this, my DH just came in the house and read this and said "You're not right."
Hello, I'm inside the brick house, he's out in the his woodshop walking around on concrete!
Maybe we both need help.

cmputerdazed 04-04-2011 11:33 AM

I hope you are all ok. Yes we probably all need help for this addiction.

After the storm is over...you'll find all the help you need here. Will keep an eye out for you if you go flying by though, and try to reel you in to safety. Be safe first, then you may feed your addiction here.

You've got it bad!

I was shut down and unplugged here! We had a brief "flicker" not really an outage. Just enough to turn off the TV that we were watching.

I really don't want to fry any equipment and unplug all but 1 TV !

Country1 04-04-2011 04:00 PM

All is fine here. Dogs got fresh treats and no damage. My parents leave 1 county over and have lost several trees and had power outage for a few hours. My family is fine. I have to be honest I did unplug sewing machines when all this was going on. :)

Marty K 04-04-2011 04:04 PM

Hi, my name is Marty and I am a quilt addict!.....I just joined your group of addicts.....Are we doing the 12 steps??? :-) :D

Country1 04-04-2011 04:04 PM

My family is all fine. Dogs got fresh treats, so all is well. My parents live a county over and lost several trees, but they are okay. I have to admit, I did unplug all sewing machines while this was going on. :)
Thanks to everyone for your concerns.

MS quilter 04-05-2011 05:17 AM

Yes you are beyond help. Join the rest of us, no sense in wasting good fabric money on therapy. Smiles and hugs.

As long as the steps include fabric, cutting, piecing, sewing, quilting/tying and chocolate, we don't care how many you use. No step or quilt police here. Hugs and smilessssss....

Aunt Patti 04-05-2011 08:33 AM

My brothers all said that I need a 12 step program funny!!

Kappy 04-05-2011 08:43 AM

I agree, a 12 step program for all of us...12 steps from sewing machine to computer, 12 steps from computer to any and all sources of chocolate, 12 steps to the ironing board, must figure out how to work the bathroom in here somehow! Oh we're all so capable here, we'll just knock it down to a 2 step approach! Get fabric, sew quilt! LOL

donnalynett 04-05-2011 11:58 AM

I just love this site!

Olivia's Grammy 04-05-2011 02:40 PM
