Inktense pencils

FYI- Helen Godden is starting a series on how to use the INKtense pencils on YouTube. Just search Helen Godden Quilting on YouTube.

Thanks for this! This has been on my bucket list!

Thank you very much, this looks interesting!

I bought Irena Bluhm's books years ago, along with Prismacolor pencils and fabric medium, (and I never did a single thing with them, of course! :D) but this certainly looks easier and just as effective! :)

Plus, I could use my own carved stamps or my favorite commercial stamps for making quilt blocks - how fun that would be!!!

Thank you for the heads-up. I have worked with Intense pencils and then forgotten them. Hope she inspires me again, thanks to you.

Can someone suggest which muslin fabric to use that will bead up water as she explains. I am nowhere near a store to check this out. I know she said a natural unbleached muslin, but not sure if the all will bead up water.

A long time ago, one of the board members posted about those pencils with lots of helpful advice:

She created a tutorial that you can download with lots of examples of her work. It's gorgeous and inspiring!

any muslin that is PERMA press will have that finish on it. However once washed it might also remove the pencil.
