So as I am new to. Quilting and this board I have a real beginers question? What do all the acronyms used on here mean? OBW etc. I have figured one or two out on my own but for the most par - don't know. I figure there r more out there who want to know also. Thanks

Welcome!
The alphabet soup can be a little confusing at times. I know I was lost at the start, and gradually got into the swing of things!

I'm sure someone will come on and give you a link to the extensive list. Sorry I don't have it.

As a starter and to answer the one you specifially asked about ...

OBW = One Block Wonder
and often seen with OBW is reference to
4PP = Four Patch Posey
SAW = Stack and Whack

And one that had me stifled for awhile
LQS = Local Quilt Shop

As you have others, don't hesitate to ask!

Open search at the top of the page and enter the letters. Excellent chance you'll find enough posts with those letters to figure out the meaning and some example as well.

WOF=width of fabric
BOM=block of the month

One thing I love about this forum, someone always has a new link for you to explore and find the information you need.

Hi & welcome - you can also use the "Search" at the top of the page - type in acronyms or abbreviations. It will take you to some links to lists.

I had the same problem at 1st. I copied & saved a list to my 'quilts' folder to refer to, but now can figure out a lot of them. Some are still a mystery to me.

Have a blessed day

QuiltnNan already gave you the link for the acronyms. If you forget to bookmark it, go to:
Main Page, then click on "Tips Page". First post from Chubby bunny and her beautiful pink machine will have this link:

http://www.quiltingboard.com/user_page.jsp?upnum=3335

Scroll all the way down and you will have a list of Acronyms.

And also, welcome to the QB!
