Ironing Tip
One of the ladies in my guild cracked us up with this advice.
She set up her ironing board in her bedroom to press her clothes after her shower. Her tip is: ALWAYS WEAR A BRA WHEN USING THE IRON. |
Ow!!!!!!!!!!
:D:D:D But who irons clothes anymore? Not me!
Good tip - seems like the only thing I iron anymore is fabric/quilt blocks and I am dressed when doing that
Thank you for my first chuckle of the day. Excellent tip. I like that lady.
Thanks for sharing. |
Ouch, happened to me years ago when I was expecting my second child but it was my tummy!!
I only press quilt blocks. So glad ironing clothes went out years ago. I always wear a bra when ironing.
same sort of advice applies when cooking. always wear an apron.
Funny! Two of my friends and I like to iron. We don't go out of our way to look for it but if something needs it we are fine with it. We laugh that we are odd balls
Opps...that's an ouchy!
I still iron my DH's dress shirts...and much to his dismay, I am always clothed! :D :D :D Anita |

To funny in a bad way, sorry she burned herself. Anita I think all husbands think we should stay naked. LOL
Don't they wish!
Anita |
That is too funny, thanks for the morning chuckle - I'll spread it around, but a couple of my friends will say they don't have enough to get in the way!
I have always liked ironing. find it very relaxing. and I have reached the age where a bra is a neccessity.
No one irons anymore . . . . . . . . . . . how does one get away with not ironing clothes???? I don't especially love ironing but I would not wear wrinkled clothes, not even ones right out of the dryer - maybe I'm just anal that way. But then I iron my jeans !!!
I have always ironed anything that is wrinkled, and I always will.
Very funny!

This reminded me of helping a 90-yrs old client of mine get dressed. Told her I would have to roll up her breasts to get them into the cups of her bra. She got a great laugh out of it. I too "have" to iron but I don't mind. My husband just rolls his eyes when I ask him to take off a shirt he has put on so I can iron it before leaving the house.
My mom used to iron everything...including my dad's boxer shorts! (Not while he was in them of course)!
Just remember ladies, gravity is NOT our friend. Hey, we women of a certain age should never need face lifts. The weight of our boobs should pull out all the wrinkles! :D :D :D (Wish I could claim this as an original, but it is actually a line from Joan Rivers). Anita |

LOL. Do you remember when we ironed our hair with our irons? |
I've never been one to get that close to my iron; bra or not. I can do enough damage to myself no matter what I'm doing and fully clothed!
I, too, keep my iron and ironing board in my bedroom, outside the bathroom. I, too, can relate to, and caution to wear your bra when pressing. It hurts!
I still iron and I always will.
I like my clothes to look crisp & creased. |
Good advice...LOL....
I can relate! I once wore a 32D; now it is a 38 Long!
