It's 9/11

A hard day of remembrance for me and my neighbors . We mourn the victims and remember the bravery of first responders. We are asked to do an act of charity, which most of us do through our quilting. Please, also, take care of yourself. Give something of quality to yourself.

Such a sad day to remember. Let's pray we never have a tragedy like that again in this great country

A hard day to remember indeed. I am sure everyone remembers exactly where they were when this tragedy was perpetrated on innocent people. I am sure Dotty your memories are even more vivid than mine since you were closer. God bless you.

A sad day, indeed. Still remember seeing and smelling the smoke that day. A friend of ours received a call from a friend of theirs in Germany that day. The friend offered condolences and said 'what happened in your country today has changed the world'. Unfortunately, very true.

It is a hard day. They had a memorial here but I couldn't attend.

It is still a very sad day.

Yes, so sad, watching TV still too painful to watch! Prayers!

I just hope that we continue to remember all the current first responders, firemen/women, policemen/women etc. who put themselves in harm's way to protect and save us from diasters along with those we lost on 911. Be kind to them when you see them out and about and thank them personally everytime you are able. It's 14 years after the event and I still cannot believe it happened and that NYC was able to clean up all that building material at all let alone in what seems like a quick amount of time. My heart goes out to all who lost a loved one on that day or in the months/years that followed.

Yes, what a sad day for the whole country. I was fortunate to be blessed with making a memory quilt for a Lady in Brooklyn that lost her DH that day. I made it out of her DH's clothing she sent me. We have stayed friends ever since then. Sure wish I could make the trip to meet her in person.
